So who is this guy anyway ?
Well, if you spin my life around computers, the story is something like this :
I was born around 1970, in the Golden Age when computers were used to either go to the moon or play Pong. Nothing in between.
In 1981 I got my first Computer, a Commodore VC-20. (1Mhz 6502 Processor, man I feel old.) Two years later a C64 that lasted until 1990. (7 Years. That's a lot longer than my PC's last these days.)
After that it was AMIGA - Time for a while until I finally switched to IBM-PC around 1996.
There I am still, at home mostly running Linux.
At work I'm responsible for a few IBM AIX-Servers (RS/6000) and Oracle Databases. Just recently the old prediction of some computer-pioneer that in the future computers may weigh only a few tons came to mind, when we got our new 1.9 tons storage server.
Ahhh... One of them crazy computer folks.
OK, I admit it. One can get kind of focused on this stuff. But I'm not crazy. At least not overly so. I think......
Muahahahahaha......
I have a few other hobbys also, to vent some of it. Rolepaying, for example. Ahh, that might be a bad example as it is also kind of a stereotype, but who cares ?
Naturally, like all the other people I know in the IT business, I'm also a Star Wars / Star Trek fan. I also like all other kinds of good movies. Maybe I will make a little list of the more obscure ones sometime. Now that I have much more web space available I will propably really do it. So be warned.
